The scheme is designed for residents over 60 who need a greater degree of care than a traditional sheltered scheme can offer, but don’t need the support provided in a care home.

The apartments at Wood Court are built to a high specification and are spacious and light. Each flat has a kitchen, shower room, living room, bedroom with full disabled access.

There are excellent communal facilities which provide a focus for a range of social activities and community involvement.

The scheme was designed by PRP architects who specialise in housing and care facilities for older people and others with support needs. It was part funded by a £3.9 million grant from the Housing Corporation and construction was completed in 2008.
