In June our Communities team launched the first wellbeing space for customers at The Unity Centre in Brent, with over 300 attendees.
Working with our customers, 29 local services and partners, the team and local Neighbourhood Customer Specialists provided a day of fun-filled activities to introduce the space.
The day was a huge success, with lots of opportunities for customers to discover local services and organisations such as The Trussell Trust, Brent Health Matters, Young Brent Foundation and more and discuss what they’d like the new wellbeing space to provide.
”The launch day was everything I hoped it would be and more. Thank you to all our customers who joined us for your enthusiasm and involvement in the day. It’s helped us understand what services you’d like to see more of and how we can work with you to ensure the Unity Centre wellbeing space makes a positive difference in your neighbourhood."Corrine WilliamsCommunity Wellbeing Coordinator
Here are some of the ways our Brent customers enjoyed the day
180 goody bags
170 Caribbean meals
70 NHS health checks
”‘I was so happy to be offered a free health check as I don’t always get time to see the GP because I’m a carer. I also found out information about pensions, energy-saving tips and services that support my mental wellbeing. I took part in the mindfulness session too, and it was excellent. Thank you, Corrine and the team. It was a great day with a lovely vibe. I loved every minute of it!"FayeCatalyst customer
