Our Friary Park team has teamed up with residents and Mount Anvil, for a Black History Month event at Friary Park community centre on Friday 29 October.

Come along to celebrate black heritage with a Proud to Be art display, children’s arts and crafts activities, face painting, workshops, music, food and more.

There will be two sessions throughout the day:

Where: Friary Park community centre

Morning session: 10am-1pm

Proud to Be display celebrating well-known local and international Black Britons, arts and crafts, face painting and short film.

Evening session: 3-6pm

Proud to Be display celebrating well-known local and international Black Britons, afro-hair showcase, poetry, and drumming.
