New affordable homes proposed at Sidney House, High Wycombe

Catalyst are proposing to build 19 new two-bedroom affordable rented homes on the site of Sidney House in Lane End, High Wycombe, a disused sheltered housing facility that has been empty since 2004.

The buildings are in poor condition, and have in the past attracted anti-social behaviour. Wycombe District Council have decided that the site can be better used to provide affordable housing, much needed in the area.

With generous parking and new planting, trees and shared green spaces, the proposed development will be an attractive place to live and make a great contribution to the neighbourhood.

A flyer has been sent to local residents asking for feedback on the proposals, and we are knocking on doors in the area to find out what people think.

A full planning application will be submitted to Wycombe District Council in the coming months.
