Catalyst won two awards at the Ealing Apprenticeship Network awards, picking up the ‘Large Employer of the Year’ Award and Catalyst Gateway apprentice Narmeen Tahir won ‘Apprentice of the Year’.
The Ealing Apprenticeship Network Awards is organised by Ealing Council and celebrates the apprentices, employers and training providers that operate in the borough.
Catalyst has a long and successful history of taking on apprentices and helping people begin new careers. Since 2014, the organisation has created over 60 positions through its own developed apprenticeship programme and has worked with its construction partners to secure a further 50 opportunities in Southall over the next six years.
Narmeen joined Catalyst this year and quickly made an impact on her team. Luciana Buzak, Employment & Skills Manager and Narmeen’s Line manager said: “Narmeen really deserves this award – she is a great asset for Catalyst Gateway and has consistently excelled at everything she gets involved with.”
Helen Cantrell, Head of Catalyst Gateway, said: “I am thrilled for Narmeen and also that Catalyst has won ‘Large Employer of the Year’. We are very proud of our apprenticeship programme and we have been very impressed with our latest recruits. We will build on the success of the past year and continue to train and recruit new apprentices.
“We also work closely with our construction partners in the borough to secure as many apprenticeship opportunities as possible. We have tremendous success so far, with more apprentices becoming fully qualified and gaining sustainable employment in the construction sector.”
