At Catalyst we are always looking for ways to develop and build upon the knowledge of our teams, to make sure we continue to provide an easy and reliable service for our residents. With this in mind, and as part of their ongoing skills and professional development programme, our caretakers, compliance inspectors and estate management team leaders are completing a British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) Licence to Practice (LTP)
Our estate services management team are delivering the training through our qualified BICS assessors, George Bolsover and Angelo Nola. This will enable us to deliver the training in a flexible and cost effective way, with minimal impact on service delivery.
Completion of the training will strengthen our caretakers understanding of health and safety, increase their knowledge, and share best practice in the delivery of safe techniques and cleaning processes.
Estate services manager, George Bolsover, who is helping to deliver the training says:
‘This accredited training will help our caretakers perform their role safely and efficiently, and continue to deliver an excellent standard of cleaning. The LTP is an 80% practical course that will enable all participants to build on their knowledge and expertise in the most effective way.’
To date, nine of our caretakers have completed the training, with the aim of all 80 caretakers gaining their LTP by March 2020.
