Gender Pay Gap Report 2019

We’re publishing our 2019 gender pay gap report today, Wed 27 March.

Our mean gender pay gap is 4.8%, which compares well to the national average of 17.1%. This gap is a little bigger than last year’s, though, mainly because we’ve had some changes to the number of men in our most senior roles. So while it’s good news that we are doing better than many, Catalyst remains actively committed to closing the gap.

Across Catalyst, we have a strong balance of women and men – 54% of our workforce and 54% of our managers are female. We will continue to operate and develop recruitment, promotion and pay policies based on our principles of fairness, equality and respect for all. Gender pay is not the same as equal pay. We benchmark all our salaries to make sure our people are paid for the job they do, regardless of who they are.

We want to make sure that Catalyst is a business where women want to work and build careers. Gender pay is an ongoing focus and priority for the Leadership Team and the Board, and the report sets out a number of actions we will continue to focus on during 2019/20. You can see the full report – which includes details of what we are doing to close our pay gap – here .
