Creatives work to make a beautiful business
To develop their business skills the Catalyst Creatives group of Catalyst Housing residents recently pitched a market stall at the organisation’s Ealing office.
Items for sale included fabric make-up bags and a variety of beautiful handcrafted ceramics, ranging from large dishes to lucky charms and fridge magnets.
The money raised from the market stall, which was on Wednesday 23rd March, will be re-invested in the group’s future activities.
The group meets weekly at the Unity Centre in Brent, and participants are supported by charity Art4Space. During the next ten weeks Art4Space will assist the Creatives to develop as a social enterprise business.
Participation in the Creatives group has helped the residents gain valuable skills in making gifts and learning about business practices. Importantly they have increased their confidence and pride in the items they produce.
