Working with residents

Our residents are the best people to report on the wellbeing of their communities and to tell us what works for them

Local people are the experts on their neighbourhoods, so we place residents at the heart of our decision-making.

We offer a wide range of opportunities for residents to get involved. They can influence our service at a strategic level by becoming members of our scrutiny panel, customer service committee or board, or at a local level by taking part in a residents’ association or area forum, or becoming a block representative.

We can also offer less formal ways for residents to tell us what they think about our services – through surveys, estate inspections, focus groups and neighbourhood meetings.

In 2011 we gained landlord accreditation from the Tenant Participation Advisory Service, which recognises best practice in tenant participation.
