Resident involvement and empowerment

Here’s what the national standard tells us we must do:

We must give you an equal say in the housing issues that affect you and give you the opportunity to scrutinise our services.

You can do this by:

  • becoming a resident board member
  • joining the Catalyst Residents Federation
  • joining a local residents’ forum
  • becoming a local residents’ representative
  • becoming a mystery shopper

The Offers – after listening to you this is what we are doing to meet this standard:

  • We will work with you to provide good housing
  • We will give you an equal say in housing issues that affect you
  • We will give you a say in shaping our policies and procedures
  • We will always communicate with you in a respectful and courteous way
  • We will give you the information you need to make informed decisions
  • We will let you know how your views have influenced decisions that have been taken about housing in your areas and the service you get
  • We will respond to your complaints within ten working days
  • We will respond to neighbourhood issues involving more than one landlord within 28 days. We will let you know which landlord will take the lead
