Healthy communities

We work with local partners and public health to deliver projects that contribute to healthier and happier neighbourhoods.

Here are some of the ways our partnerships are aiming to help tackle health inequalities and empower local people to help shape and improve health and wellbeing in their community.

Public Health partnership

A partnership with Grand Union and Public Health to tackle health inequalities across Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Fit at 50 programme

A programme of physical wellbeing, sport and social activities for customers in our older people’s services and a new initiative to increase opportunities for cycling in Houghton Regis.

Golborne Community Champions

A 5-year community-led volunteer programme, co-funded by Catalyst and Public Health RBKC enabling and empowering local people to help shape and improve health and wellbeing in their community.

The healthy Havelock walk

In partnership with Canal Rivers Trust and Ealing Council the project encourages local GP practices to prescribe this 1km health walk along the Grand Union Canal to their patients.

If you’ve got an idea for where you live and want help to make change happen, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
