Southall Day Centre was recently awarded Silver standard Investors In People (IIP) accreditation, demonstrating their commitment to realising the potential of their people in helping them deliver an excellent customer experience every time.
The centre originally achieved IIP accreditation in 1997 and attained Bronze standard in 2008. Santosh Kanwar, Head of Southall Day Centre, is thrilled with their recent Silver accreditation:
‘We are delighted to receive IIP Silver. We have been committed to the IIP standard for over 20 years and we are proud to have continuously held the accreditation throughout this time. It is more than an award because Southall Day Centre has embraced the principles of IIP to continuously develop our business through our most valuable asset – our people – to deliver great customer services.’
Established in 1978, Southall Day Centre was the first day centre in the UK to tailor services to older people from Asian communities. With around 400 people visiting the centre every day, it helps around 2,000 disadvantaged people every year. The centre and the services on offer has helped around 6,500 individuals in the past five years.
The centre has a team of 13 people delivering health, wellbeing and social care projects, advice services, and learning and development classes for adults. Find out more about the team and the services provided at the centre.
