Our first six Community Connectors are joining the Communities team today, and we wish them a very warm welcome.

There’ll be two Community Connectors within three of our communities – Havelock and Windmill Park in Southall and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire. They’ll be working with the Communities team to help them reconnect with customers post lockdown, find out more about critical local issues and deliver community projects during their six-month work placements with us.

We’ll keep you updated on how they’re getting along over the coming months. Keep an eye on our resident news and social channels – Twitter and Facebook, and subscribe to our monthly email newsletter to find out what they’re up to and how you get involved in projects and activities happening in your neighbourhood.

What’s happening next?

We’re gearing up to recruit our second group of Community Connectors. We’ll be sending vacancies to Jobcentres in Church End – Brent, Wokingham – Berkshire, North Acton – Ealing and Leighton Buzzard – Bedfordshire in the next few weeks.

If you live in any of our neighbourhoods in Brent, Wokingham, North Acton or Leighton Buzzard and you’d like to apply to become a Community Connector, please go to your local JobCentre and ask to speak to a Work Coach.

You can also view our video explaining the Community Connector experience in Havelock to give you more of an idea of what’s involved.
