Do you need some help to climb the construction ladder?

Catalyst are working with Engie, one of our repairs and maintenance contractors, to deliver training courses providing information on the different career options within the construction industry as well as accredited health and safety and asbestos awareness qualifications.

Our first training course is running from Tuesday 11 June – Thursday 13 June and will cover:

  • accredited health & safety and asbestos awareness
  • training for site & office based roles
  • guaranteed work experience
  • support into jobs & apprenticeships

We will provide lunch and your travel expenses will be covered.

Course Outline:

Day 1 – Tuesday 11th June 9am – 1pm:
Registration, e-learning, interview skills and CV preparation

Participants will gain an insight into the diverse range of career pathways within the construction industry, along with employer insight talks.

Day 2 – Wednesday 12th June 9am – 3.30pm:
QNUK Level 1 award in health and safety in a construction environment (RQF)

Level 1 in health and safety in a construction environment qualification. Aimed at individuals wishing to pursue a career in the construction industry, including administrative and office-based roles.

Day 3 Thursday 13th June 9am – 1pm:
Asbestos Awareness Training

Asbestos awareness course – delivered on a ‘live’ construction site on the Havelock Estate regeneration project.
