Catalyst’s Coppetts Wood scheme has been nominated in the NHF’s National Housing Awards in the ‘Best Scheme in Planning’ category, whilst both the first phase of Portobello Square (Best Urban Regeneration project) and St Bernard’s Gate have been nominated in Inside Housing’s Development Awards.
About the schemes
Coppetts Wood is an 80-home development on the site of a former hospital and was approved for planning in 2017. The scheme is the first Catalyst development in the Borough of Haringey, 54% of the new properties will be affordable, consisting of 25 shared ownership apartments and 18 homes for affordable rent, six of which will be family-sized homes.
The first phase of Portobello Square completed in spring 2017 and included the building of 324 new homes, consisting of 174 social-rent and 150 homes for outright sale. The completion of Bonchurch Road, at the heart of Phase 1, marks the creation of a new London Street for the 21st Century.
St Bernard’s Gate it is a residential development in West London by Catalyst. Once complete, the project will deliver 270 homes; 130 for market-sale, 118 shared-ownership and 22 for social rent. So far, Catalyst Gateway (Catalyst’s community development arm) has supported 10 local people to take up long-term apprenticeships to work on the site with its construction partners.
