Sarah Thomas has started today as Chief Operating Officer of Catalyst Housing Limited, where she will also serve as deputy to the Chief Executive, Ian McDermott.
Appointed in March, Sarah joins Catalyst from The Guinness Partnership where she served as Executive Director of Customer Services.
In her previous senior roles as Executive Director of Customer Services at Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP) and as Head of Customer Service at Eurostar, Sarah led the successful transformation of customer experience. She is also an advisory panel member of the Housing Ombudsman.
Sarah said, “I feel privileged to join Catalyst at such a formative time in its history, and to work with such a highly regarded team. I am really looking forward to getting to know the organisation better, meeting new colleagues and customers and helping to drive excellent service to our residents.”
Sarah joins the new Catalyst executive team, made up of Philip Jenkins – Group Development Director, Gary Goggins – Executive Director of Property, Judith Foss – Executive Director of People and Culture, Tim Jennings – Executive Director of Finance, Austen Reid – Interim Executive Director of Integration and led by Ian McDermott.

Catalyst completed its merger with Aldwyck Housing Group on 1 May 2019. The new organisation now owns and manages over 32,000 homes across London and the south east and is working towards delivering 1,300 homes a year from 2022.
