Housing association Catalyst has retained the highest possible rating of G1/V1 for governance and financial viability following a recent in-depth assessment by the regulator of social housing.

The assessment is Catalyst’s first since it merged with Aldwyck Housing Group last year and reflects the regulator’s assurance in the way that the organisation is being governed, as well as its ability to manage a number of risks and remain viable.

Ian McDermott, chief executive of Catalyst, said: “To have retained the highest possible rating is a huge sign of the regulator’s confidence in us as an organisation and it will reassure our stakeholders that Catalyst remains viable despite these challenging times.

“This rating reflects the commitment of colleagues and their extraordinarily hard work across the business following our merger last year.”
