Catalyst has launched a new contractor framework to help the housing association reach its target to build 1,000 homes a year by 2020.
The contracts on the framework have a combined value of between £500m and £900m, and will see Catalyst deliver a variety of different tenures including affordable rent, low-cost homeownership and private sale.
Victor Clinton-Dove, Director of Development at Catalyst, said: “Catalyst has a significant development pipeline and our intention is to build a minimum of 10,000 homes over the next decade. As long term investors in the areas where we work, we have a vested interest in driving up quality while keeping cost-in-use down for customers in rented, shared-ownership and outright sale properties. This framework will allow us to do this, and to align ourselves with partners that understand our social purpose and will work with us to achieve our placemaking objectives.”
Catalyst has a number of exciting projects in its development pipeline that will deliver genuinely affordable homes across London and the South East. This includes the Webbs Industrial Estate – the 100% affordable scheme in Waltham Forest which will see Catalyst deliver 330 shared ownership properties in partnership with Swan Housing.
