May service update as lockdown restrictions ease
Following government guidelines and the easing of restrictions, we’re pleased to share that we’re now able to increase some of our services again. We’ll continue to closely monitor our services, alongside government advice, so keep an eye on our coronavirus update pages .
These services join our cleaning, gardening and maintenance services which have been running throughout lockdown following strict guidelines, as well as our services that started again on 24 March.
From 17 May
All indoor housing visits resume – As our offices are currently closed, we’ll be able to come to your home for face-to-face visits for non-urgent appointments such as indoor estate inspection meetings and tenancy checks. We have measures in place to keep everyone safe, including colleagues wearing masks and gloves when on appointments. If you’re unsure about having a face-to-face visit, please contact us. We can usually offer both video and telephone calls.
Supported housing – In our homes where we provide support to customers to maintain their tenancy and live as independently as possible, we’re offering regular home visits and meetings in Covid-19 secure areas of our schemes. We’ll be checking in and seeing if there is anything you may need, as well as health and safety room inspections. Where we can, we’ll be offering Covid-19 secure resident activities in communal gardens.
Sheltered housing – We’ll be offering regular home visits and meetings in Covid-19 secure areas of our schemes, to check in and see if there is anything you may need. We’ll continue to keep communal gardens accessible and compliant with government guidance. We hope to be able to safely re-open guest rooms and communal lounges in our sheltered housing schemes by 21 June.
Young People Services – We’re offering our regular structured support sessions – and we hope to restart our group activities from 21 June.
Reconnecting with our communities – Over the past few weeks we have gradually reintroduced some of our outdoor activities in our neighbourhoods. We’ve also been working with our partners to make sure that some of our services within our community centres can be delivered in a Covid secure way.
We’re continuing to have conversations with our communities to understand what you want from our services and projects – and we’ll continue to adapt and slowly open services over the coming weeks. To find out more about what is happening at your local community centre, contact us.
