Helping hundreds to find work
Over 200 local people turned out to a jobs fair organised by Catalyst Gateway where they got the chance to meet potential employers and training providers.
As well assisting people out of work with employment and training opportunities, people who fancied a career change could get information on free courses.
Nearly 20 organisations turned out to the event. Metroline and ASDA advertised jobs as drivers and warehouses assistants, while Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College offered training and qualifications.
Other businesses, such as Heathrow Academy, Bouygues and Higgins offered apprenticeships and jobs which included training so people could get into new areas of work while still earning.
And once people found the job they were looking for, our Catalyst Gateway team offered their expert advice on how to dress to impress at interview. People also took away smart clothing including skirts, trousers, shirts and tops, shoes and accessories.
