Hundreds of new homes to be built for people in South Northamptonshire

Catalyst Housing has purchased 14 hectares of land in Brackley, South Northamptonshire, that has Outline Planning Permission to build up to 350 new homes.

The purchase was completed in August 2016, and Catalyst are now working with their planning consultants and project architects to submit a Reserved Matters planning application to South Northamptonshire Council this autumn. The intention is to start on site in summer 2017.

The homes will be a mixture of terraced, semi-detached, and detached properties. In addition, there will attractive landscaping, and open spaces improvements, as well as new pedestrian access routes. Over 50% of the 350 homes as affordable; comprising both affordable rent and shared ownership properties. The remainder will be for private sale.

“We are delighted to have secured this site to build the new homes needed locally. The development has the big plus of being close to the thriving market town of Brackley and being surrounded by beautiful countryside; and Catalyst is committed to making it a great community for residents,” says Geoff Bryant. Senior Land Manager at Catalyst.

The consultants supporting Catalyst on this development are: legal firm TLT LLP; Hester Architects; engineering practice Campbell Reith, and planners White Young Green.
