150 Havelock residents discuss the future of their community
150 residents were involved in the Havelock Fun Day, that took place on Saturday 4th June 2016 in the Southall area of Ealing, to celebrate the community and think about the future.
There were fun activities for children and adults, as well as the opportunity for all to discuss their ambitions for the area. These views will influence the neighbourhood strategy being written by Catalyst Housing, who are partnering with Ealing Council to regenerate the area.
Along tours of the properties currently being built, people could get some football coaching through to getting advice on saving money on energy bills. These activities were organised by residents, local groups, and companies in the Southall area.
Over the next ten years Havelock will be transformed with the building of 922 new homes. This new neighbourhood will be a mixture of houses and flats for rent, fixed equity, shared ownership or rent. There will be a redesigned canal side area and open spaces, as well as a new community centre and shops.
