Help Brent residents get their five-a-day!

We have two great volunteer roles for Catalyst residents to support our new vegetable box scheme at our Unity Centre in Brent as vegetable box co-ordinators, scheduled to start in the first week of December.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised candidate to handle a petty cash float and keep a log of all boxes paid for by customers, amongst other duties. Boxes are delivered to the Centre one day per month by Sufra, a local food bank provider, and volunteers will also be expected to arrive at the Unity Centre when the boxes are delivered, coordinating and checking that boxes are not damaged or broken.

Boxes contain a variety of essential fruit and vegetables, nutritional information and a recipe of the month.

Volunteers will have access to IT at the Unity Centre and receive free training through Catalyst, all travel costs as a result of the role will be reimbursed.

So if you are looking to gain more skills and play an important role in helping people in the community to eat more healthily get in touch!
