Top marks for Catalyst’s governance and viability

ThinkstockPhotos-162417030Catalyst has had its top ratings for both governance (how well the business is run) and viability (how financially sound it is) confirmed today by the housing regulator – the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

Catalyst’s G1 and V1 ratings – the highest ratings possible – were reiterated in the HCA’s latest round of regulatory judgements, published today.  They confirm that Catalyst fully meets all the HCA requirements, which regulate housing providers’ activities and help safeguard the sector as a whole.

Rod Cahill, Catalyst’s Chief Executive, said: “There have been significant changes to the sector, which has meant that organisations like Catalyst Housing face different and greater risks than ever before.  Against this backdrop, the HCA’s ratings are an excellent endorsement of Catalyst’s activities and confirm that we are performing very well, both in terms of the way we are run and how well we manage our resources.

“Only last week, we were voted Affordable Housing Provider of the Year by the readers of First Time Buyer magazine.  This latest confirmation of our business model and our viability is yet another feather in our cap.”
