Kensingtom artwork

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded over £20,000 from the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s Housing Regeneration Programme and Catalyst Gateway to transform the wall ramp and stairs area of Paul House (Ladbroke Grove).

During an estate inspection residents told us they wanted us to improve the look of the access ramp and the entrance to Wornington Green. We then applied for some funding, and the rest is history.

Fiona Hawthorne, a local artist, will create a unique and vibrant piece of art that will brighten up the area and help to make sure it’s no longer an eyesore.

Over the coming months Fiona will be running a series of workshops with residents, a local school and the Venture Centre to create artworks that will be erected on the concrete ramp.

The artwork will be busy and electric, and will include both paintings and photographs of the local area which should help to reflect its rich mix of diversity of architecture, culture and people.
