Something to be proud of
Catalyst Housing Group is pleased to announce that Catalyst Gateway’s, Pathways 2 Progress (P2P) project has been shortlisted for all four categories in the National Housing Federation’s What We Are Proud of Awards 2011.
P2P provides tailored support for 13-19 year olds in Kensington and Chelsea by helping them find new interests, develop their talents and fulfil their potential to steer them away from a life of crime and disorder.
Twilight Bey, Youth Engagement Manager for Catalyst Gateway, was “delighted” to hear that we have been shortlisted. He said:
“It’s great news to be recognised for all the hard work we have put in at P2P through mentoring young people, and it shows how engaging with them can make a big difference to their lives and the wider community.”
P2P have been shortlisted for: ‘Best Impact on Residents’, ‘Best Contribution to the Local Community’, ‘Best Partnership Working’ and ‘Most Outstanding Individual’. A panel of independent judges will vote for the project they think deserves to win in each category. The winners will be announced at the awards lunch on Monday 27 June 2011.
Kate Dodsworth, Assistant Director – Regions at the National Housing Federation, said:
“We’re delighted that the independent panel of tenant judges has chosen Catalyst Housing Group to be on the shortlist. We’ve had many entries for this prestigious award, which is recognised throughout the housing sector, and the standard this year was higher than ever. Catalyst has a wonderful project here which is a great example of what housing associations deliver above and beyond providing homes. I wish Catalyst good luck in these awards.”
Leanne Baxter, Managing Director of Catalyst Gateway, said:
“I’m thrilled that our P2P project has been shortlisted for all four categories. This is great recognition for all the work that our dedicated team do with the young people in West London to support them in transforming their lives and achieving their potential”.
