What is a MCS certificate?

A Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is a quality assurance scheme that is nationally recognised and supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

A MCS forms part of the eligibility requirement for financial incentives, such as the Feed-in Tariff and the Renewable Heat Incentive.

For more information please visit the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.

If you want to register your solar panels for the Feed-in Tariff you will need your MCS certificate.
