How do I request permission to keep a pet?

You will need written permission from us before you keep a pet, and the process depends on whether you rent your home from us, or you are a leaseholder or a shared ownership customer.

If you rent your home from Catalyst:

Please call us on 0300 456 2099  to discuss your needs and request a pet permission form. If you fulfil the conditions to keep a pet please complete the form and  return it to us by email. Alternatively you can post it to Catalyst Housing, Ealing Gateway, 26–30 Uxbridge Road, London W5 2AU.

Our customer services team will assess your request and will aim to respond to you within 10 working days to advise whether we can approve your request.

We will give permission for all reasonable requests for a pet, however, if we reject your request for a pet we will outline the reasons for this in writing.

If you are a leaseholder or shared ownership customer your rights will depend on various factors, such as the type of housing you live in and the conditions of your lease.

Please contact The Home Ownership Approvals team, who will be able to guide you through the process. You can email your request  or call us on 0300 456 2099.

If you live in supported or sheltered housing you may have different rights to keep a pet depending on the scheme or accommodation in which you live. Please contact customer services  on 0300 456 2099 for further details.
