Catalyst is a leading housing provider, managing over 34,000 homes across London and the South East. Following our recent merger with Aldwyck Housing Group, Catalyst has a renewed commitment to build thousands of new affordable homes over the next 10 years.
Our commitment to deliver new housing is driven by our core purpose, homes people love. We not only plan to build at scale, but also to build high quality homes where our new residents can feel safe, warm and comfortable from the day they move in to when they decide to leave.
We are experts in placemaking and developing tenure-blind neighbourhoods. Our approach to creative design, effective urban planning and high-quality development is underpinned by our long-term interest in our neighbourhoods. By adopting a stewardship role, we ensure that the places we help to create are well maintained, look great and remain desirable places to live.
We are committed to sustainability in the construction and management of our homes. Catalyst is one of the only two housing providers in the country to achieve gold in the highly challenging SHIFT sustainability benchmarking scheme.
Recently, we became early adopters of a new ‘Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing’ and became the first European company to receive ‘Frontrunner’ status across all three categories in the ‘Certified Sustainable Housing Label’ from German consultancy RITTERWALD.
2020 has been a successful year for Catalyst’s new schemes as we won several major awards, including:
- Havelock/Southall Village – Winner in Best Regeneration category, Evening Standard New Homes Award 2020
- Portobello Square – Winner in Best Regeneration category, First Time Buyers Awards 2020
- NEON – Highly Commended in Best First Time Buyer Apartment, First Time Buyers Awards 2020
- Housing Association of the Year – Silver Award, What House? Awards 2020
