Rachael Dennis, Chief Operating Officer (COO), will be leaving Catalyst later this year.

Rachael joined Catalyst in 2014 as Executive Director of Finance before gaining responsibility for IT a year later. She was appointed COO in March 2017 with responsibility for customer services, finance, IT and strategy delivery.

She will be leaving the organisation to join Taylor Wimpey as a regional Managing Director.

During Rachael’s time at Catalyst, the organisation has retained the highest ratings for finance and governance (V1 and G1), achieved an A credit rating from S&P, become a Sunday Times top 100 employer (not-for-profit) and has made considerable progress in its merger with Aldwyck Housing Group.

Rachael said: ‘After nearly five fulfilling years I have decided to take up a new and exciting personal challenge.

‘Catalyst is a great organisation and one I am proud to have been a part in leading. Having worked quite closely with Ian [Ian McDermott, Chief Executive] over the last six months I know that he will take the organisation to an exciting next level of growth and excellence.

‘I leave behind an excellent team who will continue to achieve great things under Ian’s leadership and I look forward to watching from slightly further afield and seeing how things progress in the future.’

Ian McDermott, Chief Executive of Catalyst, said: ‘It has been a pleasure to work with Rachael over recent months and into 2019. Rachael is a great talent and leaves the organisation in strong financial health, and having made real progress in improving services for our customers. I wish her the best of luck in her new role.’

Rachael will be leaving Catalyst in spring/summer and her role will be replaced by an Executive Director of Group Finance, and an Executive Director overseeing operations.

Notes to editor:
Rachael has nearly 20 years’ experience in the housing sector, with many of those spent at executive level. She has a strong track record in leading finance strategy and operations, and in leading wider business improvements including business change and customer service improvement and people engagement programmes, (including working with a number of organisations towards their IIP Gold and Best Companies achievements). Rachael has also served as non-executive director on housing, NHS and charity boards.
