Changing to Catalyst Housing
On 30 September 2011 we became Catalyst Housing
Catalyst Communities Housing Association, Fortunegate Community Housing and Kensington Housing Trust have joined together to form Catalyst Housing.
Now we’ve joined together, we have set up:
- four local boards to oversee local services. Find out how you can get involved and work with our boards
- a single customer services department which will open for longer
- a system that allows our neighbourhood manager to work closer with the communities we serve
- better systems so that we get it right when you call us
See our December 2010 newsletter,
Changing for the better (Dec 2010), for more information.
This change does not affect your rent and/or service charge, tenancy, rights, or the terms of your loan if you are an equity loan customer. This means you will not have to sign new tenancy agreements, leases or loan agreements.
Four local boards
We’ve now set up four local boards. These boards cover Brent, Kensington and Chelsea, West London (the rest of London) and the South East (outside London).
Local boards oversee local services in the areas above and up to half of the places on the local boards have been reserved for residents.
Over the coming months, our local boards will be working with local residents to find out the priorities of local communities. Find out how you can get involved.
One customer services department
We’ve created a new customer services department to replace the services provided by Catalyst Communities HA, Fortunegate Community Housing and Kensington Housing Trust.
The emphasis in this new department is on the customer, and our teams will be working with you to make sure we deliver better homes and better services.
The team is managed by John Foxall, director of customer services. To help him improve services to you, he’s recruited a new senior management team. Our October 2011 residents’ magazine gives details of who’s who.
Neighbourhood management
We’ve now rolled out our neighbourhood management system to all areas. The neighbourhood managers will be doing a different role to the housing officers we previously had in some areas. They have increased responsibility, so they’ll be able answer and resolve most of your queries without having to refer to another manager.
Once all our neighbourhood managers are in place, we’ll let you know who they are.
