Westcott Park community garden needs your vote!

BAGSFORHELPWestcott Park’s much-loved community garden has been short-listed by Tesco’s Bags of Help scheme to receive one of three prizes worth £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000. The scheme, funded by the 5p plastic bag charge, will help bring renewable energy and community composting to Westcott Park.

The funding for the garden’s ‘Detritus Delight Us’ project will enable the purchase of off grid solar power for the garden buildings, powering lights and electrical points to charge power tools. As well as new composting bays, an in-vessel composter and providing residents on the estate with free kitchen caddies to encourage households to bring their kitchen waste to the garden to be recycled.

You can help them win the top award and make Wornington Green greener by voting in the Ealing branches of Tesco for ‘Detritus Delight Us.’

Voting commences this Saturday 27th February and closes on Sunday 6th March.
