The Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Allan Kauffman and the Deputy Mayoress, Mrs Lynne Kauffman, attended the Drayton community event last Saturday (8 September.)
Drayton Garden is a new village which will eventually have over 750 properties including shops and community facilities. This event was designed as an early chance for residents to come together and meet their new neighbours.
Highlights from the day included live music from local bands and residents showcasing food from their country of origin in a special cook-off.
As part of our commitment to improve every community that we work with, our community development arm, Catalyst Gateway also attended. Gateway offered information to residents about the regular job clubs held in West Drayton and provided information on how to set up a residents’ association as well as discussing plans for youth projects in the area.
The Deputy Mayor said:
‘It’s fantastic to be here at the start of a new community. Catalyst has clearly thought about the well-being of the residents, the environment, home design and infrastructure will make this a great place to live and raise a family.’
