Catalyst Housing Group, and construction partners Inspace Partnerships, have received a bronze award under the Considerate Constructors Award scheme for their work on the Harrow Road development, it was announced this week. The Awards celebrate high standards in construction as part of a national scheme created by the sector itself to improve the image of the construction industry. Catalyst’s Harrow Road development was commended for demonstrating high standards of consideration, cleanliness, respect, safety, responsibility and accountability. The site was also praised for its consideration and respect to neighbours and the environment. The Harrow Road development in West London includes 125 new homes, 29 of which are to be allocated for affordable rent. 40 of the homes will be available to potential shared owners, under the new Rent to Homebuy scheme and a further 56 homes, originally planned for outright sale, will also be marketed as Rent to Homebuy units once the initial marketing phase has been completed. Located on the boundary between Hammersmith and Fulham and Brent, the development also features a number of studios available for local artists to rent at affordable levels as workspaces. The planned completion date for the scheme is February 2010. Julia Moulder, Director of Development for Catalyst said: “Catalyst are proud to have been awarded a Considerate Constructors Award in partnership with Inspace. The award is a great way to celebrate our long history of working together with Inspace and our commitment to the sustainable development of high quality homes.” Media contact: Jennifer Riley, Media Relations Officer, on 020 8832 3142 or email: jennifer.riley@chg.org.uk
