Housing Celebrity Quiz raises money for Friary Park community centre

The actor Saeed Jaffrey OBE was quizmaster for the evening on 25th September 1998, at a celebrity Housing Quiz to raise money for the Friary Park Community Centre. Anthony Mayer, Chief Executive of the Housing Corporation, led his team to victory by a narrow margin. Local MPs Clive Soley and Steve Pound also captained teams, as did Chris Holmes, Director of Shelter.

Sponsorship came from consultants and contractors who have worked with Ealing Family over the years, and it is expected that the final fund-raising total for the evening will exceed £10,000. AMOCO, the oil exploration company based at Hanger Lane in West London very generously hosted the event and provided food and drinks.
