The Housing Corporation's inspection report of Catalyst Communities was published on 14th February 2002, and provides very positive feedback on the services that we provide.
Catalyst Communities HA volunteered to be inspected under the Corporation's "pathfinder" programme. During October and November last year a team of inspectors visited Catalyst Communities' offices and housing schemes, speaking to a wide range of tenants, staff and Board members.

The full report provides a comprehensive review of our services. Key conclusions from the report's summary include:
- Catalyst Communities is providing to a diverse and widely spread resident population a service which has improved on the requirements of both the Performance Standards and our new Regulatory Code, and has a comprehensive strategy for further improvement.
- The association is well regarded by local authorities, residents and other stakeholders in all the areas which we visited. It also has a committed staff in all the areas of the organisation which we inspected.
- The main focus and achievement of the association's housing service is in the delivery of high quality services to residents. The development of the Customer Services Centre in London and Oxford have enabled the association to deliver repairs and management services more effectively than before.
- Performance Indicators for the three years to 31 March 2000 show reductions in management and maintenance costs, rent losses and vacant homes. Combined with improvements in resident satisfaction, this is additional evidence of the good services which residents receive.
- The association is also committed to building sustainable communities. Its community development service is making a significant contribution towards this objective, and is assisting it in its robust response to incidents of anti-social behaviour.
The report makes some recommendations for further improvements in respect of community development work in West London, gas servicing, lettings and supported housing.
