How do I pay my rent?

Rent is your responsibility and you have a legal obligation to pay it. Income from rents pays for services that benefit all our residents.

Direct Debit

With direct debit payments, your rent and service charges are paid direct from your bank account. If you have a regular income paying by Direct Debit is easy. We encourage you to consider it as your first choice. Request a direct debit form from your local office or download one in PDF format here.

By telephone

Payments can be made by telephone using your credit or debit card by calling the KHT office (Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm): 020 8960 5544.

By post

We accept cheques, which should be crossed and made payable to Kensington Housing Trust. Please make sure you write your unique tenant reference number or full property address on the back of your cheque before posting. Payment should be sent to:

Catalyst Housing Group
Ealing Gateway
26-30 Uxbridge Road
London W5 2AU

If you need help

We are happy to help you with any queries you have about your rent. We can also advise you on any benefits you may be entitled to claim, as well as help you to fill in the forms if you are having difficulty.

If you get behind

We send you a quarterly rent statement. If you do fall behind, we will write to you as soon as this happens. We are willing to discuss the problem with you and agree ways for you to repay what you owe. If are having problem with debts, we can refer you to advice agencies that can help.

If you don't pay

You have signed a tenancy agreement and you have a legal obligation to pay your rent. Should you not do so, you have broken the terms of the agreement and we can take legal action against you. This could lead to eviction from your home. Although this is the last course of action we wish to take, several tenants are evicted from their homes every year because of non-payment of rent.

If you have any problems please contact the customer services team on 020 8960 5544. They will be able to help.
