Community FundKensington Housing Trust has established a grant giving body known as the KHT Community Fund. The Fund works to promote community development initiatives by awarding grants for projects and activities that are designed to help bring local people together and ensure a better quality of life for those living in and around KHT’s housing stock. Grant awards are made to community organisations and are decided by a board of Trustees who meet 4 times a year. The Board is made up of two KHT residents, 2 KHT Board of Management members, an Independent Trustee, a co-optee and the Managing Director of KHT. The Community Fund trustees are particularly keen to consider projects providing for the under 5’s; schemes which enhance people’s skills; projects which bring different generations together; initiative which promote community health; projects which address the needs of refugees and asylum seekers; and projects addressing issues affecting young people.
