Shared ownership
Shared ownership is a part-buy/part-rent scheme. It lets you buy a share of a property and pay a subsidised rent on the rest. You can normally buy between 25% and 75% of the property.
The combined monthly costs of your rent and mortgage will normally be a lot less than buying the property on the open market. They may even be less than renting.

Rent to Buy
If you are interested in shared ownership, but need some time to save up a deposit, our rent to buy scheme could help. This is when you pay a reduced rent on a property, while you save up the deposit to part-buy it at a later date.

Catalyst is the government appointed HomeBuy agent for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Milton Keynes.

Home Ownership Westminster
In partnership with Westminster City Council, Catalyst runs Home Ownership Westminster. This is a one-stop-shop service that helps people who live or work in Westminster get onto the property ladder. This service won ‘Outstanding Achievement in London’ at the Affordable Home Ownership awards 2010.
