Wood Court is an extra care sheltered scheme in Edgware. It provides 39 self-contained one bedroom rented flats supported by communal facilities for frail, older residents.

The apartments were built to a high specification and are spacious and light. Each self-contained flat has a kitchen, shower room, living room and bedroom, with full disabled access. The scheme was designed by PRP architects who specialise in housing and care facilities for older people and others with support needs.

The Court is for residents over 60 who need a greater degree of care than a traditional sheltered scheme can offer, but do not need the level of support provided in a care home. There are excellent communal facilities which provide a focus for a range of social activities and community involvement.

The scheme was part funded by a £3.9 million grant from the Housing Corporation.

Construction was completed in 2008.
