Regeneration has transformed this estate into a thriving community and desirable place to live
Page Road, Hounslow, TW14
Catalyst was selected as the preferred developer partner in 2001, with works beginning on site in 2003.
The regeneration transformed the estate into a thriving community and a desirable place to live. The last new home was completed in December 2010.
Page Road now has 320 brand new homes (137 for rent, 50 for sale, 120 for shared ownership and 13 for leaseholders who wanted to remain living on the estate). There are new shared green spaces and private gardens or balconies for all residents.
Delivered in three phases with a rolling programme of decant and demolition, the total construction costs were £32.5 million.
Community benefits of the project included the employment of a residents’ liaison officer, a five year programme of youth engagement work, and a comprehensive employment and training programme.
Key to making this complex regeneration project a success was the strong partnership between the London Borough of Hounslow, Hounslow Homes, Catalyst Housing and Willmott Dixon Housing.
The scheme was named the best regeneration project of the year at the Affordable Home Ownership Awards 2009.
The new neighbourhood was formally opened at a ceremony on 30 March 2011 by the Worshipful The Mayor Of Hounslow, Councillor Colin Ellar.
