Mill Farm Close, Harrow
We are working with the residents of Mill Farm Close to redevelop their estate. This will provide new affordable homes to modern and spacious standards
Mill Farm Close, Harrow
Mill Farm Close in Pinner consists of seven system built blocks that would not have been cost viable to refurbish in order to meet decent homes standards. In September 2008 Harrow Council and local residents selected Catalyst to begin the process of transforming their community into a new neighbourhood.
Since then the Catalyst regeneration team has worked very closely with the council and residents to develop a design to meet the needs and aspirations of the community. A ballot for the stock transfer in October 2009 had an 82 per cent turnout and an 88 per cent ‘yes’ vote. Planning permission to regenerate the estate was approved in March 2010 and work began in September 2010.
The scheme will be delivered in three phases over five years. The proposals involve building 158 brand new homes for rent, shared ownership and outright sale. Through regeneration we will be able to offer residents high quality accommodation and improved green spaces, as well as providing a range of community development initiatives.
