Building strong communities

Working with our residents to improve lives and neighbourhoods
Training at Southall Day Centre

At Catalyst Housing Group we believe that building safe, sustainable and vibrant neighbourhoods requires a long-term commitment to local communities, together with investment in projects that bring environmental, social and economic benefits.

For many years our community development initiatives have helped residents to make the most of where they live, and to take advantage of the opportunities available to them.

Collectively, staff across the Group have decades of experience working in communities. It is their dedication that really enables us to make a difference.

With over 14,000 homes in London and the South East, our Group members are experienced in working with diverse populations. We are proud of the sheer variety of projects we run for and with our residents, from all sections of society.

Working with different groups, we help them to overcome any difficulties they may have - whether this is finding work for lone parents or ex-offenders, providing practical help and support for those with mobility problems, or helping those who do not speak English to understand their rights and entitlements.Children on the Cookham Close estate in Southall

We have come a long way over the last decade. But many of our achievements would not have been possible without the help and support of our partners. It is through our work with other agencies that we are better able to deliver holistic services for our residents, and build economies of scale. We treasure the strong relationships that we have developed and hope to build on these, as well as form new partnerships, in the future.

But when it comes to finding ways to improve life within a local area, it's often our residents who know best. We work closely with them using their views and experiences to shape our services. This, we believe, is how we get things right.
