Alfred Boateng: Estate Services Supervisor

Alfred has been working for Catalyst for three years as an estate services supervisor, in a role that involves managing the refuse, maintenance and cleaning of a number of estates across West London. As well as managing the contractors who provide these services, he manages a number of caretakers. Alfred inspects up to 25 estates a month and carries out a further 40 inspections every quarter. 

Alfred’s typical day involves coming into the office in the morning and then planning his workload. This could involve meeting contractors or caretakers, inspecting the estates he manages, discussing any immediate or important issue with his manager, or doing paperwork.

Alfred enjoys working at Catalyst and points out that Catalyst has empowered him to manage his own workload. ‘Even though I have a line manager, I manage my own tasks and staff. This motivates me because I feel that Catalyst trusts me.’
