Forthcoming contractsEnergy Management ContractCatalyst propose to enter into a long term contract for an ESCO-type service, managing and operating CHP and community heating systems at sites currently under construction in West London, with the potential to include future developments. The service is to include supply/procurement of gas and wood pellet biofuel; maintenance and replacement of plant and other equipment; metering, billing and collection of heating charges from residents, and sale of CHP generated energy to the grid. The contract is to be a self-financing service concession. The concessionaire will be expected to derive its revenues from the difference between its operating costs and the charges it is able to make for delivered heat. It is not envisaged that a management fee will be paid. The addition of future sites may be subject to a capital contribution from the concessionaire. This is a non-mandatory notice in respect of a proposed service concession contract, and will be let through negotiation. Interested parties may obtain further details and a pre-qualification questionnaire from tom.smith@chg.org.uk. Please do not use the downloadable standard questionnaire on this buyer profile. The Authority will select one or more operators with whom to negotiate based on responses to the questionnaire, which must be returned electronically by noon on January 26th 2009.
