Development updateClements Close, BarnetThe site of an old care home site has been redeveloped to provide a new 68 bed care home and day centre, along with 20 new affordable homes for Barnet residents. Clements Close and Montclair Court provide 10 family homes for rent and 10 shared ownership apartments. Working in partnership with Willmott Dixon Housing, the scheme was finished on time in March 2006 with a contract value of £2.2m. The scheme has been designed to meet the Ecohomes ‘good’ accreditation and provides water saving features such as water butts and dual flush toilets, along with bird and bat boxes and planting to attract wildlife.
